"The simple truth is that you can be a runner if you want to be one. No one can stop you. No one can tell you that you’re not good enough. No one can tell you that you’re not fast enough. No one (but yourself) can keep you out of this wonderful world we live in."

ChiRunning® Workshops are divided into two sessions, with each session lasting approximately 90-100 mins.

Session One discusses Posture, The Lean, Ankle Lift and Arm Swing.
Session Two discusses Gears and Stride Length, Hill Running, and Cadence. Each session includes a few kilometers of running, so please wear your running outfit.

ChiRunning® works for runners of all levels. All you need to bring is an open mind and a willingness to learn how to move your body naturally.

ChiRunning benefits beginners because it gives them a good foundation to build on before "bad running habits" take shape; and experienced runners gain a competitive advantage by learning ChiRunning® efficiency techniques that will help them run longer and faster without increasing their perceived rate of exertion.

ChiRunning® Lessons in Brief

Posture

The right posture is the foundation for efficient, injury-free running. We will correct how you stand, walk and run.

Lean

Your lean is your gas pedal, not your legs. If you want to run faster, lean more. If you want to slow down, lean less.

Ankle Lift

Running is mostly about falling forward, bending your knees and picking up your relaxed and soft feet. It’s really that simple!

Arm Swing

Proper arm swing is critical to maintaining proper running balance from top-to-bottom, front-to-back and from side-to-side.

Gears and Stride Length

As you speed up and move up in running gear, you’ll need to also lengthen your stride. However, you never lengthen your stride in front of you. You always open up your stride behind you.

Hill Running

Two things: One, running uphill need not be hard and tiring; two, running downhill fast need not be scary and intimidating!

Cadence

This is your running rhythm. Keeping your cadence constant is crucial to easy and efficient running.
